The Edmund Fitzgerald was a great lakes ore carrier that sank in a massive storm in November of 1975. Immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" you can have a "Fitz" collectible also now. Debate raged for decades about the cause of the sinking. The New Jason Islands, or Islas Sebaldes as they are sometimes known, are generally accepted to be part of the Falkland Islands in the south Atlantic ocean. These teem with birds and are a privately held nature preserve. This is technically the second edition of notes for these islands, the first being an issue in pounds released in 1979 by businessman and erstwhile sheep farmer Len Hill and bearing his portrait.
